When Everything Seems...Write!

Ahh...deepest, darkest
quiet night
whence thoughts take wings
like birds of flight

Restless soul
on over-time
like a shot of straight tequila
without the wedge of lime

A gap of years
between the pages
A barren desert
with no oasis

Then suddenly,
unceremoniously...
I'm back again
like a Tibetan monk
in a state of Zen

Forever Jung (a poem inspired by the theorems
                         of the illustrious doctor)

Whenceforth cometh
this odd & puzzling thought
provoking answers heretofore
found previously not

The duality of life
floating through a waking dream
You whisper oh-so-softly
yet i hear a scream

A tear-drop falls
without uttering a sound
A violent earthquake
shakes us around

The yin & the yang,
the ebb & the flow

As the world around me
seems forever to shrink
my fascination for it
proportionately grows

Man In The Mirror

Staring at the space
where the mirror used to be
hanging on the wall
with a man resembling me

Shattered into pieces
by a strange phenomenon
i stand staring at the space
even tho' the man is gone

'til suddenly, i realize
he was never really there
and walk away with feelings
of ineffable despair
